I love working with Finnish artwork from late 1800's, and here is one that really spoke to me! It is a portrait piece by Amelie Lundahl, depicting a young woman from Brittany, France.
In this piece, I moved her across the country, from the Western to Southern France, and dressed her up las a flashy socialite in 2025. I imagine her strolling on the seaside promenade, wondering who won the day's regatta. Or maybe she just one it as captain of her own boat?
