Midsummer 1987

A collaborative piece where New Jersey artist Kelly Baum curated the collage material and I continued her work by putting the piece together. Working this way feels hugely interesting, as materials chosen by another artist are distinctly different from those I choose, but the cut and composition style is still mine, so I got to develop myself more working this way.

This piece is titled 'Midsummer 1987' and it depicts a childhood memory from a one-week boat trip my family took in our old boat in the Finnish archipelago during the white nights of midsummer.
